Experience
I have tutored math since high school. This is what drove me to become a math teacher. I just finished my third year teaching 7-12th grade mathematics. I am qualified to teach STAAR prep, TSI prep, and work with GT students. I have worked with a range of students including ESL/ELL, special education, and students that struggle with math for other reasons. I look at where they are low and high and improve both areas. I believe that confidence is an important quality before taking any kind of math exam. I love to teach math and be able to help those that feel they are not math people. I believe every one is a math person if they are taught the right tools. I do know how the state of Texas would like the students be taught but I am also able to teach other ways that will fit the students better. I would like each student to bring their homework, book, and notes so that I can see where they are and how to better help them.

I have two beautiful kids that I am taking the opportunity to stay home with this year. My husband is a cotton farmer. Lubbock area has been our home for 9 years. We enjoy going to any Texas Tech sporting event and love to cheer on our Raiders when they go pro!
